About Centred Wellness Counselling & Psychotherapy

A calm, grounded space for trauma‑informed counselling and psychotherapy.

HELLO AND WELCOME!

Who is Centred Wellness?

I'm Candyce Linington (she / her), owner of Centred Wellness, and PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor® and Psychotherapist offering online trauma‑informed therapy to adults across Australia.

Centred Wellness is an online trauma‑informed counselling and psychotherapy practice supporting adults across Australia. I offer a calm, grounded therapeutic space where you can explore your inner world with safety, curiosity, and compassion.

I know how disorienting it can feel to be overwhelmed, to lose direction, or to wonder how to move forward. That's why Centred Wellness exists—to offer a safe, calm, supportive space where you don't have to have all the answers. You just need to show up as you are.

Here, it's not about fixing you. It's about walking alongside you while you reconnect and align with your authentic self and what matters to you most.

Why I became a psychotherapist

For me, counselling and psychotherapy isn't just a profession—it's deeply personal.

I’ve lived through experiences that include addictive and self‑harming behaviours, psychosocial difficulties, cancer, work‑related injury, grief, and major life transitions like moving overseas and changing careers. I’ve also been affected by the broader social pressures and inequalities that influence our wellbeing. All of this has shaped how I understand suffering, resilience, and the complexity of being human.

These experiences led me to study counselling and psychotherapy and continue to shape how I show up for others. I know healing isn’t always linear, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek support. This work means a great deal to me, and it’s a privilege to be trusted by the people I work with.

Person-centred care

You are the expert in your own life. I’m here to support and facilitative your therapeutic process, not to direct.

Compassion

I care deeply, I listen without judgement, and meet you with curiosity where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in relational, trauma‑informed psychotherapy. I understand present‑day struggles as often rooted in earlier experiences — the attachment patterns, protective strategies, and beliefs we developed to stay safe, connected, or in control.

These strategies were adaptive at the time, but can become painful or limiting in adulthood. In our work together, we explore these deeper layers with curiosity and care, supporting your nervous system, your pace, and your capacity to stay connected to your present self. As an integrative trauma-informed counsellor and psychotherapist, I currently draw on a range of evidence‑informed approaches — including trauma-informed, attachment‑based, somatic, experiential, mindfulness‑oriented, transpersonal, compassionate, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Therapy with me is collaborative and attuned. We follow what feels ready to be explored, whether that’s emotions, felt experiences, core beliefs, relational patterns, identity shifts, or your inner world expressed through dreams. Dreamwork can offer a safe way to process trauma, illuminate relational patterns, deepen self‑understanding, and open pathways to creativity, meaning, and personal growth. For some people, this becomes a supportive part of therapy; for others, it becomes a central focus.

The aim isn’t perfection—but to support reconnection, meaning, and a more compassionate relationship with your present self.

Who I work with

I work with adults (18+) across Australia who are navigating emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, grief, addictive behaviours, unsettling dreams, or long‑standing patterns rooted in early trauma or attachment wounds.

I work with adults across all life stages...

supporting people through transitions, emotional challenges, and deeper questions of identity, connection, and meaning.

You might be:

Starting out

adjusting to study, work,
early relationships, or shaping your sense of self

In the midst of change

balancing career, family,
or personal growth

Facing life shifts

navigating illness, loss, spirituality, or
evolving purpose and meaning

Or you might simply be seeking a space to reflect, recalibrate, or understand yourself more deeply.
